Yeah, I second Reade's advice. Dusborne's Matrix here I feel is superior to the SBD. I fully agree that the majority of SBD's of this time are not good, with many sounding like they are played through a rather inexpensive clock radio. You add the depth of a decent AUD and you get a much fuller sound (although you do get some chatter that some folks object too, but I don't find it overly distracting in this one). I actually like the section where a female in the crowd shouts for Tennessee Jed and then another male fan shouts "Yeah, play Tennessee Jed for the lady". Chivalry is not dead. Just personal hygiene.

Yes, the Dusborne Matrix is really good . You get that extra bloom for Garcia's guitar, makes the "Scarlet>Fire," for instance, more enjoyable to me . The new cds sound better than the usual SBDs of the era, they have gotten good at this .
